General Details:
THERMOGUM is a roof and wall coating with superior UV–resistance. Its composition with high content of Titanium Dioxide and light silicate hollow spheres, gives a thermo ceramic membrane which imparts a high reflectance effect and high heat emittance back to the environment. At the same time, it prevents significantly the conduction of heat to the substrate and keeps the roof surfaces much cooler in hot summer weather. It is characterized as a “cool” coating and forms an elastomeric waterproof membrane. Due to its soft fillers it is also partly sound proof. It gives a flat with sheen finish up to 2-4 units at 850.
THERMOGUM adheres strongly on surfaces like concrete, plaster, metallic sheets, wood, urethane foam, asbestos and bituminous coatings and membranes.
NOTE FOR BITUMINOUS SURFACES: For best results, we recommend applying the product to properly aged bituminous surfaces 3-4 weeks after their application.
Instructions Of Use:
Surfaces must be cleaned from dust and flaking parts. Mineral surfaces are primed with Acrylic Primer. At least two coats should be applied crosswise, without thinning, with an interval of 12- 24 hours between coats depending on climatic conditions. Every coat must dry before the next one. On flat roofs where ponding water appears, it is suggested to apply a 3rd coat. On joints, cracks, seams and gaps a polyester fabric is required to be embedded in the membrane. Product should be briefly stirred with a motorized mixer.
Application method: Roller, brush, airless spray with open nozzle.
Thinning: The product is ready to use, if needed dilute up to 10% v/v with clean water. Tools are
cleaned immediately after the application with soap and water.
Notes:
THERMOGUM is produced and strictly controlled with our in house quality control system. Containers must be kept closed in a cool, dry, well ventilated area protected from direct sunlight.
