History
The history of MIPAPOL LTD goes back to 1972 when the late Miltiades Savvides joined as a partner, Clenko Chemicals Co that dealt with building materials.
In 1976, Miltiades Savvides left Clenko Chemicals and founded MIPA POLYACRYLEX CO in order to produce, distribute and apply decorative textured coatings such as Marblex, Sagre, Grafiato.
In 1977, the company expanded its operations in Saudi Arabia, setting up workshops in three cities, Riad, Taif and Apha with activities in the same field but on a larger scale, but always maintaining its central operations in Cyprus. In 1988, the company stopped operations in Saudi Arabia due to sudden and unpredictable conflicts in the region between Iraq and Iran, which they negatively influenced the economy of Saudi Arabia.
In 1989, the company becomes the sole agent and distributor of Novaglass Italy, a giant in the field of bituminous membranes. In 1990, the current CEO, Christos Savvides joined the company as Technical Manager, specialized in paint technology and launched the production of coatings.
In 1993, Miltiades and Christos Savvides established MIPAPOL LTD, which then undertakes all the operations of MIPA POLYACRYLEX CO.
